Season's first Lake effect snow storm...

This year, the winter weather has been delayed. Normally we have had about 25 inches of snow by Christmas.  It's New Years Day we are predicted to get about 10 inches and a lot of blowing.

I managed to get some shots of the Grand Haven Lighthouse with some pretty good waves crashing.

The wind was blowing about 40 mph.  If you look close you can see the sand drifting in this shot.

That first shot with the drifting sand is so fantastic!
