Lake Hefner is a large and beautiful reservoir that was built in 1947.
I had no idea that it was so big.
I guess taking a different route in the city is as good way to find interesting sites as doing it in the country.

Unexpected Find...
The day was spent calling on customers and potential customers in Oklahoma City. I was on the west side of Oklahoma city when it was time to leave town. I never take the Hefner Parkway because it is a ways from I-35, but today I wanted to find something to take photos of with my new Nikon. So was heading north on Hefner Parkway and there on my left is what looks like... "an ocean".
